2008 Top Ten Articles on this Blog

In 2008, here are the top blog post that caught your interest, 9 out of 10 are in french.

I am always surprised to see that the Top 1, L’évolution du commerce de détail: l’industrie du vêtement, that speaks about the Evolution of the retail industry and the future of the clothing industry with emerging new business models, having more of a social media focus is certainly a trend to watch.

The shopping aggregator Glimpse.com (thefind.com) is amongst the innovative discoveries. Its motto: What can we find for you?

While interesting, it does not fully aggregate the deep shopping Web. When I look for Nacara Cosmetics* , which is a small brand originating from Montreal. I do not find it. Of couse, this website introduction is in flash and with music! That certainly does not help.

*(and, yes, it is the foundation that I use… I could add one of my best kept secrets)

    Hi Katheline

Thank you for writing about one of our search engines, Glimpse.com.

Both Glimpse.com and our main shopping search engine, TheFind.com cover the US e-commerce market. We help consumers in the USA find what they want to buy from over 500,000 e-commerce sites selling over 300 million products. Sadly this does not include all of the Canada merchants/products.

Of course we want to help people like you across the border also find what you are looking for and so as we grow our business, we will launch a Canadian site covering all of the e-commerce sites selling and shipping to Canada.

    Cheers
    Siva

    Thanks for your feedback Siva,

Interesting to know that you will improve it for the Canadian market and, hopefully, the *invisible Web* and hard to find and to localize brands and niche products.

    good luck with that,
    Katheline
