Sensibilisée par les conséquences du séisme du 12 janvier 2010 en Haïti et par ses répercussions sur la communauté haïtienne, l’organisation à but non lucratif Art de vivre offre des cours de yoga, de développement personel, de gestion du stress et de méditation gratuits à tous les membres de la communauté haïtienne. Ces cours d’une valeur de 300$ font partie d’un effort de soutien aux communautés ayant vécu un traumatisme, dans le but de redonner de la force et du courage dans les situations difficiles. J’ai moi-même suivi plusieurs des ateliers d’Art de vivre qui ont contribué à ma croissance personnelle, qui m’ont aidé à gérer mon stress et à me concentrer sur l’essentiel.

Dans un loft de 2000 pieds carrés du centre-ville de Montréal, plusieurs artistes s’exprimeront sur les tremblements ayant ébranlé Haïti. Ils s’exprimeront par la peinture en direct, des films, la musique et la mode afin de recueillir des dons pour Haïti. Les gens qui veulent donner pourront repartir avec l’objet de leur rêve éveillé (toile, vêtement griffé…) tout en aidant le grand effort de reconstruction d’Haïti qui ne s’étalera, non pas sur une soirée, mais sur au moins dix ans.
